Whitby is a popular and vibrant holiday destination with many feature weekend activities to keep one busy, the most famous being the Goth weekends(the costumes are truly amazing) and Whitby Regatta.

The apartment is situated on the West Cliff area close to the famous Whale Bones and within easy walking distance of all of the amenities. It is an ideal base to explore the famous North Yorkshire Moors area, either by car or by steam train on the North Yorks Railway. You can visit ‘Aidansfield’ and experience the Hartbeat trail, there is so much to do a week is barely enough time and you’ll be tempted to come back time and again.

There are many walks starting either in Whitby or close by, to suit the keen or modest walker, whilst the beach offers the usual family treats and boast a blue flag. The main beach is also patrolled by life guards during busy holiday periods.

Whitby boast a wide selection of restaurants to suit most tastes and includes prize winning fish and chip restaurants. There is a superb museum in Pannet Park with a large selection of fossil dinosaurs, James Cook memorabilia, and amazing jet carvings and jewellery. A new play park has been added for 2009 to keep the younger members of the family entertained.
